After two decades in the wildland fire service, I began craving a simpler, slower paced life.  I still have several years to go before retirement but why wait to do something you enjoy?  Beginning as a hobby, the pursuit of the woodworking craft is becoming a central part of who I am and who I want to be. I travel the country in search of unique, natural materials to hand-craft beautiful, yet functional pieces. All my work is individually crafted. I specialize in wood turned items, small boxes, reproduction turning, and I’m always exploring new and interesting projects. I find inspiration in the twisted board, the tarnished metal and the simple stone. Each piece becomes an heirloom for your family's story.
